报告题目：Advanced Applications of Boron Chemistry in Medicinal and Material Chemistry
Nanostructured boron compounds possess unique physical and chemical properties in comparison with classical small boron compounds. These species generally have large amounts of boron contents and thus have the potential to deliver significant amount of boron to the tumor cells, that is crucial for boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). In addition, nanostructured boron compounds have emerged as one of the promising frontiers in material chemistry due to their outstanding physical capability. This seminar covers the latest development of boron compounds in medicinal chemistry and material chemistry.
Dr. Zhu Yinghuai received his Ph. D degree in 1997. He has been studying boron chemistry for 20 years. Several new boron agents such as boron-enriched single-walled carbon nanotubes, synthetic technology (e.g. 10B/11B-isotope exchange, nanocatalysis for carbonyl synthesis) and other applications have been successfully developed by Zhu and co-workers. He has published approximately 78 papers in peer reviewed journals, 11 book chapters, 5 patents and applications and more than 40 conference contributions. These works have been well-recognized by global colleagues and scientists with more than 2300 citations.
